Glitter Queens Blog Hop Day 1

Hello and welcome to the first of three days of our hop.  You may have joined me from Tamara's or from another link but if you've missed anyone in between I'll have everyone's link at the bottom of this post.
I love to decorate for fall and the project I'm showing today I've had for a while and actually can't believe I hadn't posted it before now.  The best part is that the fabric used although retired is currently available on the clearance rack.   The Spice cake fabric is a deal at $3.99.  You can order by clicking on the shop 24/7 button on the right side of my blog.
The idea is not mine and it has been so long I forget who to give credit to.  Using a Styrofoam ball, rubber bands and some batting this cute pumpkin is fun to make.  I used tools from a class I took on doll making (kimekomi) when we lived in Japan but a butter knife would work just as well.  If you'd like more detailed instructions please leave a comment.
I have 2 cards to show you today also.  One of my favorite sizes is 3 x 3. I made my own punch art for the acorn and the pumpkin is pretty well known.

Can you tell what set I used to decorate the acorn...Hearts a Flutter.
The base of the card is from our DSP Natural Composition Specialty.  The die cut in the background is from the Window Frames collection and the acorn and the pumpkin were made using the small oval punch.  Are you loving the matching envelopes....then you have to get the new envelope punch board.  I am having WAY to much fun with it.
I hope you enjoyed our first day of hopping.  I'm the caboose on this trip but if you'd like to go back and visit any of the other Glitter Queens make sure you start with
then onto the hoppers
Make sure you come visit us each day for the rest of the week to see what else we have for Fall/Thanksgiving.
Have a great day!

  2. I love your fabric pumpkin. I used to make small Christmas ornaments when my kids were toddlers with this same technique. And I love the embossing on the acorn on your card. Great ideas!!
