Male birthday card

Here's the third card I'll be offering as part of my Harpy Birthday Everyone class.  Like most of you I struggle with masculine cards.  I mean you can't put the really fun stuff like glitter and ribbon :( So here is my answer which holds to the basic design principals I have for guy cards....use nice bold colors, use geometric patterns, and keep it simple but fun.
This card has a tempting turquoise base cut 41/4 by 11 score at 5 1/2 and then score about 1 1/2 inches form the edges to fold down.  Secure the sides to make a pocket.  Decorate the pocket fold ( I used big top birthday).
The pennants are from pennant parade as is the "wish big" sentiment.  They are popped up on dimensionals.
The inside of the pocket is cut from whisper white with a round tab punch at the top.  Not much room to write a message but sometimes that's a good thing :)
I hope you enjoyed these class cards.  I have much more posting planned now that I have the watermark issue figured out so keep coming back to peek in on what's on my stamping desk.

Card for Class # 2

Sorry about the late post.  I had the pleasure of a day out at a crop today.  I got some things done but I had more fun chatting :)  This is the second of 3 cards I'm offering in a class.  This one features the DSP that you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration.  A pool party base and aviary stamped in Sahara sand on very vanilla.  An accent strip of lucky limeade punched with a scallop edge at the bottom of the vanilla panel sets off the DSP well.
Thanks for the positive feed back on yesterday's post.  I'll be working on some "pearls of wisdom" regarding using MDS in the blogosphere soon.  Make sure you come back tomorrow to see the "guys" birthday card.

Card for upcoming class

I am so excited to be back blogging.  I took a break because I wanted a more professional looking blog and my DH got me Photoshop 10 for Christmas.  So far it has been an excellent...paper weight.  I hate to put a product down because of my own ignorance but it just isn't very user friendly.  I am hopeful to take a class soon so I can learn how to get rid of  edit out unwanted relatives...ha ha ha.
So one of the best things about being a SU demo is the community of demos.  It's like having  a ton of friends you love but only know on the computer.  In my quest of having a more professional looking blog I asked fellow demo Catherine Pooler for help.  She so sweetly gave me an answer which got me to thinking....maybe I could use My Digital Studio to make my watermark.
It worked! If you have MDS and want to use it for your watermark leave me a comment.  Depending on the response I may do a tutorial.
So here is my latest card.  I'll be offering a class soon with 3 cards one for a male b-day a female b-day and a kids b-day.  This is the kids card.  Fairly unisex and I know already loved by my son's classmate who is 4.
If you are in the middle Georgia area and would like to come I'll be offering this class March 3rd.
Thanks so much to all of you who remained faithful blog checkers and were frustrated everyday to see the same thing pop up asking " what happened to her???"
Come back tomorrow for a peek at the other cards.

Testing 1...2...3

Ok...I think I had a stroke of genius but I need to try to post this to figure out if it works.
